Commoner Leo wakes up with the laughingstock F-rank talent Bottom-Feeder, so his S-rank Frost Phoenix fiancée Luna dumps him publicly. Noble Charles Watson beats him unconscious and tosses him into a fetid sewer. Dying in the muck, the Omni-Evolution System triggers, rewriting his gift into the S-rank Abyssal Black Drake. He claws free, humiliates Charles in the academy arena, and rejects a military commission, igniting a blood feud with the Watson Clan. When bribed instructor Robert tries to murder him during a wilderness trial, Leo beheads him and ships the head to the Watsons as a declaration of war. Operating as Nightfall, he claims the Frost Lotus at a black-market auction and cripples heir Victor in a death duel. Lord Arthur Watson then conspires with the Shadow Guild to poison dignitaries and launch a coup, but Leo crashes the banquet and slaughters Arthur and Guild vice-leader Malachi. A dying Malachi detonates beast-luring incense, summoning a hundred-thousand-strong horde led by Beast King Cerberus while General Hayes flees with the nobility. Leo shoots down the escape aircraft and stands alone against the tide, burning every evolution point for a second hyper-evolution that awakens the SSS-rank Calamity Bone Dragon. One strike vaporizes the horde and the Beast King, saving Valoria City. He refuses the offered homage and marches into the wilderness to uncover what happened to his missing parents.
